Bugs on the Hooch a family fun event happening Memorial Day Weekend. Come to camp Friday night, Come Saturday for entertainment, games, and family fun. Camp out Saturday night and the Main event is Sunday May 28th at Woodruff Park.

Meet at the Phenix City Amphitheater and float downstream to Rotary Park, collecting trash along the way. Rafts can be reserved through Whitewater Express and kayaks can be reserved through Outside World Columbus. Participants are welcome to bring their own boats, but are responsible for transportation afterwards from Rotary Park back to the amphitheater. Gloves, trash bags, and buckets will be provided. Cold drinks will also be available. Admission is free.

Come by land or by lake, Lil' Calypso Art Fest has many treasures in store for you. Chuck's Marina presents the 15th Annual Lil' Calypso Art Festival and one of the largest on Lake Martin. An admission to the show is a donation of the attendees choice which goes to the Union Volunteer Fire Department.

The treasures you will find are Glass Art, Metal Art & Signs, Handcrafted Jewelry, Pottery, Handcrafted Furniture, Folk Art and Canvas Art. Artists set their tents along the shoreline surrounding the marina. Troi Atkinson is playing on the deck from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The aroma of Chuckwalla's Pizzeria will surely draw you in and satisfy your appetite.

The parade departs from Lakeside Park in Pell City at dusk and ends near Clear Creek.  Judges will be aboard the Coosa Queen Roverboat near Clear Creek.  

Registration ends June 12, 2017.   There is a voluntary donation of $10.00 per vessel.  The proceeds benefit Pell City Police Department and Logan Martin Lake Protection Association.  

Participating vessels must be Coast Guard approved and be decorated with a family-friendly theme.  Lineup position for the parade is awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis, except houseboats will be at the end.

Event sponsors include Coosa Queen Riverboat, KO's Paint and Body Shop, 94.1 FM The River. Extreme Painting & Signs, Pruitt & Richardson, LMLPA, Pell City Police Department, Nancysellsthelake, and Grffin Laser Engraving.  

Coosa Queen Riverboat will offer a dinner cruise that evening for $35.00 per person.  Call (205) 706-2319 for reservations.
